Your mistakes make you valuable

It was always hard to meet an executive whose career went down in flames after a setback. 

The frustration is palatable for the executive who can't seem to stop the fall.  But also for the recruiter, because despite being competent, they know the candidate won't pass the first interview.  

I had to experience my own fallout to feel make sense of it

Most executives experience setbacks during their careers; they fall, brush off their egos and get back at it. 

But some just seem to be riding the wave. And eventually, they start to think their career is flowing and "invincible." 

So when they get knocked down,  their mind will do a 180, and instead of focusing on their superpowers, it lasers in on what can now feel like a mortal wound, your Achilles' heel. 

And once the mind latches on to such a thought, it believes it. 

And like in the cartoons, you start walking into interviews with that small black cloud above your head. 

And that energy speaks faster than you can even open your mouth and talk. 

But it's not doom and gloom. On the contrary, this situation holds immense potential. 

With coaching, they can reframe the perception of the wound and reconnect with their superpowers. And once her sunshine energy is back, our heroine gains better care towards herself and her team.
